Principle of Operation :
 
MD-90 works on the principle of Doppler-effect. Very low intensity ultrasound frequencies are beamed into body from a very small transducer, which is reflected back from organs and blood particies. Reflected signal is changed slightly in frequency due to movement of foetal heart, blood particles & other moving organs. Reflected signal is received by MD-90, amplified & proccessed electronically to get audible signal through built in speaker or external earphone.

    The Dipel Micro-Doppler MD-90 can be used for locating pulse and vessels for administering IV or while taking B.P. in difficult cases. It can be used for locating vessels for catheterization or withdrawal of injection. When it is difficult to take the low systolic B.P. by standard methods of using cuffs, the Dipel MD-90 can prove to be of great additional help.
     
    Further, it can be used in difficult applications for neonates, pediatric, hypotensive patients, trauma, obesity.
